Inspired by the calm and peaceful atmosphere of Pai, Baan Krating Pai is located on the bank of Pai River where a field of jasmine rice cherishes healthily on our property. The resort is surrounded by rolling-hills and a naturally border of teak wood forest.

The town of Pai is known as one of the most tranquil and scenic town of Northern Thailand. Despite the small size of Pai, the town is serving as a home to a diverse group of mountain tribes include Shan, Karen, Haw Hmong, Muslims from Myanmar and Yananese Chinese. Pai is truly an undiscovered international Utopia.

The 32 private and cozy deluxe villas have a view of our homegrown jasmine rice and interconnected water lagoon. With the simple Northern architect, our rooms are simple and comfortable with a changing color of the Northern forest.

A single stand-alone villa overlooking the rice paddy field and teak wood forest is best for young honeymooners who seek a romantic and peaceful stay.

Junior suite:

An oversized room with daybed has the best view of the Pai River and locates within a walking distance from the swimming pool.

Amphor Pai is 135 kilometers from Chiang Mai and 111 kilometers from Mae Hong Sorn. Even though it will take about 3 hours of driving from Mae Ma Lai intersection, but the guests will experience one of the most beautiful driving scenery along the Northern hilltop of Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Sorn.
Following the sign of Baan Krating Pai Resort toward Belle Villa Resort, guests will cross a small Mae Nam Pai Bridge to see our Baan Krating All Day Dining Restaurant and the main entrace of our resort on the right.

The most attractive provinces in the Northern Thailand are Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son. Normally, tourists often choose to visit Chiang Mai for a few days, before getting further to Mae Hong Son. A town of Pai is approximately 137 and 111 kilometers away from Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son town respectively. This small town is, thus, like the midpoint of the long road and long journey.

Tourism at Pai started around 1987. Previously it was just a town to pass by, with only a few guesthouses. However, when more tourists discover the charm of this town from the friendliness of Pai people to the popular tourist attractions ranging from natural hot springs, waterfalls, and temples; whereas rafting along Pai river and Kong river is the most interesting activity tourists should not miss.

There are many interesting tourist attractions that tourists could visit on the way to Pai.
I. Hot Spring (Pong Duat Geyser)
Located approximately 60 kilometers away from Pai Town, the Hot Spring called Pong Duat Geyser is the first attraction to visit if you come along Mae Malai-Pai Road. Sometimes the hot water will come up as high as 2 meters. The temperature of the hot spring surface is 90-99 celsius, whereas the underside is 176-203 celsius.
II. Huai Nam Dang National Park
Located about 40 kilometers away from Pai town, this national park has been popular and familiar among tourist for a long time. The highlight of this park is the scenery of Talay Mok, or the misty sea of ranges of mountains.
III. Mo Paeng Waterfall
Mo Paeng Waterfall is the second most beautiful waterfall after Mae Yen Water fall. It is only 9 kilometers away from Pai town, tourists could just drive a car or even a bicycle to this attraction. Mo Paeng Waterfall is a three-leveled, 10 meters wide and 15 meter-high Waterfall. The second and the third levels are pretty large and safe for swimming.
IV. Pai Canyon
Pai Canyon or Kong Lan is another interesting tourist attraction in Pai. The steep cliff has been eroded for a long time ago. The valley is 20 meters deep, amidst the scenic settings of the red hill covered with Dry Dipterocarp Forest and pine forest. It is better to visit in the early morning or later evening to avoid the extremely hot temperature in the afternoon.
V. Nam Hoo Temple
Wat Nam Hoo or Nam Hoo Temple is also an ancient temple of Pai Town. The temple was built in 1952 by a village headman and his people who have found

Mae Hong Son is located 924 kilometres from Bangkok . Drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and then choose the following routes to Mae Hong Son:
Chiang Mai - Hod - Mae Sariang - Khun Yuam - Mae Hong Son (Route 108)ย a distance of 349 kilometres.
Chiang Mai - Mae Malai - Pai - Mae Hong Son (Route 1095), a distance of 245 kilometres.

By Bus
An air-conditioned bus which runs directly from Bangkok to Mae Hong Son every day. The bus departs from Chatuchak (Mochit 2) Bus Terminal at 6 p.m.
By Rail
One can travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai by rail and then continue to Mae Hong Son by bus.

By Air
Nok Air flies Bangkok-Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son daily.

By Car
Mae Hong Son can be reached from Chiang Mai either by Highway No. 108 via Hod - Mae Sariang, or Highway No. 1095 via Pai.

By Bus
Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son buses departing from Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Terminal every day. The buses which run along Highway No.108 leave Chiang Mai frequently from 6.30 a.m. 9 p.m. The buses which run along Highway No. 1095 leave Chiang Mai from 7 a.m.-12.30 p.m.

By Air
